IT Service & Systems Manager | 6-9 Month Contract | Up to £425 Per Day (Inside IR35)
We are working with a growing UK organisation that is building and developing its IT function to support its expanding team.
They are looking for a technical IT Service & Systems Manager to work closely with the Head of IT and take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of IT services across the organisation.
This is a hands-on service delivery role, combining IT service management, stakeholder and supplier management with a good level of technical understanding. You will help ensure users receive a high-quality IT service, while also supporting the development of the organisation's systems, processes and technology estate.
Role Details
- Rate: Up to £425 per day
- IR35: Inside IR35
- Contract Length: 6–9 months
- Location: London
- Travel: Approximately twice per month to the Cambridge site
- Working Pattern: Full-time
- Start Date: ASAP
- Reporting To: Head of IT
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of IT services across the organisation
- Act as a key point of contact for users, stakeholders and external IT service providers
- Manage and maintain effective relationships with third-party IT suppliers
- Oversee IT support, service requests, incidents and escalations
- Help establish and improve IT service management processes
- Manage joiners, movers and leavers and ensure a smooth user experience
- Support the delivery of IT projects, technology rollouts and service improvements
- Work closely with the Head of IT to develop the organisation's IT operating model
- Ensure IT systems, devices and services are maintained and supported effectively
- Provide technical oversight across end-user devices and Microsoft 365 services
- Support the management of Windows and Mac environments
- Help identify opportunities to improve IT services, processes and automation
- Support meeting room and collaboration technology
- Act as a technical point of contact when working with external suppliers
- Ensure appropriate IT documentation, processes and user guidance are maintained

- Experience in IT Service Delivery, IT Operations, IT Systems or a similar role
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management experience
- Experience managing or working with third-party IT service providers
- Good understanding of IT service management and operational processes
- Strong technical understanding of end-user computing and Microsoft 365
- Experience with Intune and/or Jamf
- Experience supporting Windows and Mac environments
- Good understanding of Entra ID / Azure AD, Exchange Online and SharePoint Online
- Experience managing users, devices and joiner/mover/leaver processes
- Experience supporting IT projects and technology rollouts
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams
- CrowdStrike experience is desirable
- Experience with meeting room / AV technology is desirable
