IT Service Transition Manager | £75,000 + 10% Bonus + Car Allowance

I’m currently working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Service Transition Manager to join the global IT function of a leading international organisation.

This is a key role within the retained IT organisation, responsible for ensuring new and changed IT services are operationally ready, stable and fully supportable from day one.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end service transition lifecycle, working across project delivery, IT operations, regional IT teams and external service providers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the transition of new applications, services and significant changes into BAU
  • Defining and validating service acceptance and operational readiness criteria
  • Ensuring robust service wrappers are in place, including support models, escalation paths, SOPs, runbooks and knowledge articles
  • Coordinating handover to Service Operations, including hypercare where required
  • Working closely with Managed Service Providers and outsourced Service Desk teams
  • Supporting Change & Release governance and go/no-go decisions
  • Driving service reviews, continual improvement and lessons learned
  • Providing clear reporting, KPIs and service insight to senior stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
