We are currently recruiting for an IT Site Manager vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join us in a managerial capacity in a department that supports the business and facilitates growth in new manufacturing locations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will be responsible for STERIS’ Information Technology systems including but not restricted to business systems and technical infrastructure for non-corporate/manufacturing facilities.
  • The role holder will be responsible to manage site administrators and manufacturing IT staff responsible for the implementation and/or ongoing support within STERIS site locations across all business units in EMEA & APAC.
  • Manages Information Technology projects for the installation and deployment within manufacturing operations. Interfaces with STERIS Corporate I.T. department to maintain corporate and global standards.
  • This role needs to ensure a good working relationship with corporate I.T. Department and all business entities in each location to satisfy both Corporate and local business objectives.
  • Writes product requirement documents, implements, and tracks development timelines, negotiates feature sets with the development leads and product vendors.
  • Responsibilities include recruiting, evaluating, and terminating staff, and working with the I/O Operations & Infrastructure Director and/or Infrastructure & Operations Manager(s) on budgetary matters.

Duties - cont'd

  • The role holder would be responsible for supporting site closures, transition of systems and services, ensuring appropriate solutions are defined.
  • Maintaining vendor management, looking at operations/systems to measure/maintain uptime/availability within the STERIS locations.
  • Excellent communication skills, identify risk and working with key stakeholders, committees or global leadership team(s) where required. Lead and/or participate in business activities and provide roles specific to the remote facility.
  • Business activities such as Lean Events or other productivity improvements, managing local resources such as the security department and telephone operators, facilities management functions, cost control initiatives.
  • The role holder will work with the EMEA team to define an SQDC reporting operation. Using site statistics and gathering appropriate data to be able to positively contribute. Where required site travel in the UK/EMEA may be required in line with the role/responsibilities.

Education Degree

  • Required Experience

    • Bachelors degree or 5 - 8 years in an IT management role
    • Windows 10/11 - Server 2016 - current version
    • Operating knowledge of M365
    • Operating Knowledge of current infrastructure models such as VRTX or HPe
    • Delivered projects of a business predominant nature with technical oversight
    • Operating knowledge of network technologies (CISCO preferred, but others considered)
    • Leadership skills such as development and training
    • Strong process, governance and documentation skills specifically around projects
    • Excellent communicator with cross functional working in a diverse stakeholder group
