We require the appointed candidate to take up the post as early as possible in the new academic year.

We are a happy and successful primary school with a beautiful building and amazing school grounds wishing to appoint a new member to our Facilities and IT team. The post holder will have key holder responsibilities and will have either early mornings or evening shifts with call outs necessary during emergencies.

What is the job role?

‘Learning at Stivichall is a passport for life’

This is a unique opportunity for an individual with IT and/ or maintenance skills to join our exceptional school. As a busy and forward-thinking school well supported by our dedicated Facilities and IT team, we aim to appoint someone who either wants to grow their skills in IT and is willing to support with the premises demands, or someone who is keen on maintenance and DIY but willing to be hands on with day-to-day IT as needed. We are willing to make some adaptations to the role to suit an individual’s strengths on the understanding that the role is primarily a site services role. We also would consider supporting the right candidate through an apprenticeship.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A great team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Someone with a warm and friendly personality with excellent communication skills who recognises that staff in school are public facing
  • A person with excellent practical skills who is flexible, adaptable and capable
  • A person who is reliable, proactive with a good knowledge of building maintenance tasks and site health and safety
  • Someone who brings energy and humour to work and is able to stay calm and professional at all times
  • Someone who understands the importance of modelling our school ethos at all times and is able to be a positive role model to children
  • Someone who is enthusiastic and committed to giving their best.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
