Job Description - IT Solutions Apprentice

This exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Apprentice will be based at the London location within the IT Function. The IT Function provides UK-wide support to all the business areas.

This role provides an opportunity to complete a Level 3 Information Communication Technician apprenticeship in conjunction with the apprentice provider Impact Futures.

Enterprise Business Services (EBS) consists of LMUK IT Services, Payroll, ESH, HR, and Finance functions. With employees located throughout the UK, EBS provides UK-wide support to the LMUK business areas.

This exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Apprentice will be based in Havant within the IT Function.

This role provides an opportunity to complete a Level 3 Information Communication Technician apprenticeship in conjunction with the apprentice provider Impact Futures.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day technical support for end-users of client systems, VOIP telephones, smartphones, tablets, printers, and computer hardware
  • Assist with incidents & requests using Service Desk ticket management system
  • Assist with maintaining the asset tracking system when required
  • Participate in project work as required such as software and hardware refresh programmes
  • Help deploy, maintain, and support iOS devices
  • Assist with software vulnerability management
  • Possible travel to support other sites within the UK

Basic Qualifications

Required skills, qualifications, and experience

  • GCSE or equivalent in English, Maths, and IT
  • Ability to demonstrate customer service skills
  • Interest in end user IT support
  • Self-starter with willingness to learn from colleagues
  • Must be a good team player and able to use own initiative
  • Must have good problem determination skills
  • Communication skills – both written and verbal
