About The Role
We are seeking a skilled IT Solutions Engineer to join our expanding IT department. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing our business-critical systems, with a primary focus on the QAD 2014SE ERP platform. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of our enterprise systems, enabling the company to meet its operational and strategic goals. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including business users, customers, and suppliers, to understand their needs and translate them into effective technological solutions. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT systems management and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Proven experience with the QAD ERP system, particularly the 2014SE version, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in system support, troubleshooting, and development, along with a solid understanding of database management and integration techniques. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset are vital. Certifications related to ERP systems, ITIL, or other relevant technical certifications will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
As an IT Solutions Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and maintaining the QAD 2014SE ERP platform, ensuring its optimal performance and availability.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze system needs, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Regularly monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary updates or patches to prevent disruptions.
- Being involved in the development and customization of ERP modules to better align with business processes.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and issues.
- Participating in project planning and execution for system upgrades, integrations, and new implementations.
- Providing training and support to end-users, creating user guides, and ensuring compliance with IT policies.
