About The Role
The 1st Line Support Analyst role at CBSbutler is a vital position within the IT support team, based in Oxford with a hybrid working arrangement. This is a full-time, permanent position designed for individuals who are eager to develop their technical skills and advance their careers in IT support. As the first point of contact for IT-related issues, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient technology operations across the organization. Your primary responsibilities will involve providing friendly, professional, and effective technical assistance to users, resolving a wide range of hardware, software, and network issues, and supporting ongoing IT projects.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in 1st Line IT Support or a Service Desk environment
- Basic experience with Active Directory management and access control
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Freshservice, or Jira Service Management
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and basic networking issues
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Excel and a quick learner capable of adapting to new systems and technologies
- A proactive, positive, and collaborative approach to team working and problem-solving
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Providing first-line technical support to end-users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and user accounts
- Managing IT support tickets from initial logging through to resolution, ensuring timely and effective responses
- Supporting Active Directory operations, including user account management and access requests
- Assisting with device provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes
- Prioritizing incidents based on SLAs and escalating complex issues to the appropriate teams
- Participating in IT upgrades, system deployments, and technology projects to enhance service delivery
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date IT records, documentation, and asset inventories
- Monitoring and reporting potential security incidents or risks to ensure compliance and safeguard company data
