About The Role

The IT Support Analyst position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their IT support skills within a dynamic and supportive environment. Based in Southampton, this hybrid role offers a blend of on-site and remote work, providing flexibility and a balanced work-life experience. As part of a growing IT team, you will be the first point of contact for technical support, assisting nearly a thousand colleagues across multiple locations. Your role will involve resolving a variety of technical issues, maintaining core IT systems, and contributing to the delivery of a responsive, reliable IT service that enables the business to operate smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, taking ownership of tasks, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IT support with relevant experience and skills, including:

  • Experience with Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft 365 installation and configuration
  • Knowledge of Active Directory administration
  • Support experience with PC hardware and mobile devices
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts
  • Excellent customer service skills in a busy support environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and remain calm under pressure

Additional certifications or training in IT support, networking, or related fields will be advantageous but are not mandatory. The successful candidate should demonstrate a proactive attitude, ownership of issues, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others solve technical challenges.

Responsibilities

As an IT Support Analyst, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Providing first and second-line support to end users across multiple locations
  • Resolving IT incidents and service requests efficiently and effectively
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting Windows devices, Microsoft 365, and business applications
  • Supporting Active Directory administration and user account management
  • Maintaining desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related hardware
  • Performing daily system health checks, monitoring backups, and ensuring system integrity
  • Escalating complex issues when necessary and following through to resolution
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation and knowledge bases
  • Supporting various IT projects as part of a growing team
  • Occasionally visiting other company sites to provide on-site support
  • Participating in an on-call rota to ensure 24/7 support coverage when required
