IT Support Analyst
Location: Sutton In Ashfield (Mansfield), on site
Salary: £28,000–£32,000
Have you gained 2–3 years’ experience in IT support and feel ready to take the next step? We’re looking for someone early in their IT career who brings a solid technical foundation, curiosity and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
This role offers the opportunity to build your confidence and broaden your experience within our Group IT team. It’s particularly suited to someone developing their hands-on support skills and looking to grow into wider responsibilities. You’ll support colleagues and clients across the business, resolve everyday technical challenges and help keep our service desk and IT systems running efficiently.
Your role in the team
- Take ownership of the service desk queue, maintaining accurate, up-to-date tickets, monitoring service levels and leading weekly ticket review meetings.
- Investigate and resolve hardware, software and network problems, explaining solutions clearly and helping users get the most from their technology.
- Assist with system updates, backups and preventive maintenance to keep systems reliable.
- Help maintain IT security measures and contribute to system upgrades, migrations and installations.
- Liaise with third-party vendors to resolve technical issues and support the implementation of new systems.

The foundations you’ll need
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in IT support or a similar position, including time working in a service desk environment.
- Confidence supporting Windows desktop and server systems.
- The ability to administer Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Exchange Online and the Microsoft 365 admin centre, alongside on-premises Active Directory.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a helpful, practical approach to supporting users.
- A willingness to learn, develop your technical knowledge and take on new challenges.

Experience with virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V, and familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or Azure, would be an advantage. Relevant certifications, including CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Windows Fundamentals, are also desirable.
