IT Support Analyst (6-Month FTC)

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be acting as a trusted partner within the business to support the development and implementation of improved processes often with the introduction of technology at ZEISS Ltd. We are looking for an IT Support Analyst to resolve issues with equipment and software, including technical problem-solving, investigation, auditing, financial awareness, coaching, mentoring, and operational support, while also contributing to a variety of day-to-day team responsibilities as required.

  • Efficient logging of support calls using the Zeiss helpdesk system
  • To provide first- and second-line technical support to colleagues (local and remote) in the following areas: Software, Hardware and Network
  • Liaising with internal and external support organisations
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server
  • Knowledge of or certification in ITIL and project management
  • Machine deployment and software installation
  • Ability to travel to remote sites, within the UK, as such we will ask that you work towards obtaining a full UK valid driving license if you do not currently have one
  • Supporting the Senior Support Analyst with the IT infrastructure
  • Compliance with and promotion of Data Protection legislation
  • Compliance with and promotion of Corporate and local security standards and principals
  • Membership of the IT Security community as an IT Security Engineer (where appropriate)
