Job description – IT Support Associate
- Location: Victoria, London
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Salary: £35,000 plus benefits package and discretionary bonus scheme

My client is a leading global commodities marketing, trading, logistics services and investment firm with offices in London, New York, San Diego, St Louis, Switzerland, India, Australia, Singapore, Canada and Poland. The Role
This position will work within the infrastructure team on all areas of IT infrastructure and support, with a strong working knowledge of functional IT and technologies.
- Day to day infrastructure support from both general user troubleshooting to managing multiple projects with some being security critical and high business impact.
- There will be a strong focus on teamwork, business operations and prioritising workload across different time zones and requirements, working closely with the IT business leaders and info sec team to provide robust solutions.
- Working closely with the head of Infrastructure to ensure the smooth and robust running of companywide IT Infrastructure and support.
- Promoting organisational awareness of company policies and standards, reporting directly any issues found.
- The role is always evolving, and support tasks vary on a day-to-day basis, meaning that adaptability to work and talk through different situations, different users and time zones is required.
- You must be approachable and contactable due to the in-depth experience required to keep the business functioning. An understanding of the physical bulks business would be an advantage.
Requirements
Core Essentials:
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience which should include the below:
- Day to day support of all infrastructure assets from first to third line providing a complete break fix solution to all issues.
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft operating systems from server 2016 onwards and Windows 10 onwards.
- PC builds for both laptop and PC hardware; Managing and maintaining auto update features of images for builds; In-house Server maintenance and updates; Appropriate hardware and software fixes.
- Office 365 / SharePoint / OneDrive.
- An understanding of Networks, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
- Proven ability to work independently on resolving complex issues, assisted by Infrastructure Manager.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Helpful, Though Training Will Be Provided:
- Azure Entra suite experience. Configuring policies, secure score, groups and conditional Access.
- Patching protocols and WSUS rollout, configuration and management.
- Cisco Umbrella Policies and Cisco Anyconnect.
- Mimecast and Egress email security tools.
- Bloomberg, Trayport, TT Trader, RightAngle – Trading system troubleshooting.
- Eset encryption, Eset AV and SentinelOne EDR solutions – maintaining the security of all corporate devices.
- Maintaining all Vmware and Hyper-V infrastructure products – including VDI rollout.
- Citrix – Citrix VDI installations and management of infrastructure.
- Information security monitoring and response or related experience, with Knowledge or Experience with EDR, SIEM, NDR, Vulnerability management, MITRE attack framework, Cyber Essentials and Incident response.
