The Role
Javelin is looking for an IT Support person to join our London office, acting as a main point of contact for users seeking technical support. This role has come about after consistent Company growth and would suit someone who is self-motivated and willing to get involved as this role will grant you a range of opportunities to learn and grow with the business. We are looking for someone with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and who can talk to people at all levels and abilities with a professional and warm approach. This is a fast-paced environment where the person would need to be able prioritise tasks depending on the situation. A willingness to learn and self-drive is key to their success within this role. The individual must show a proactive approach to responding to user requests and finding solutions to problems, demonstrating the ability to see problems through to resolution. We are ideally seeking someone with a minimum of 1-2 years' experience from the financial services industry, however this is not essential. The role is based full time in Javelin's London office, a short walk from Victoria train and bus station.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- To assist and support users with day-to-day IT issues both within the office as well as users working remotely
- To answer 1st and 2nd line support queries and investigate further where needed
- Troubleshooting iOS devices, Laptops, desktops running Windows 11 and printers
- Performing desk moves and moving equipment where required
- Supporting MS Teams, Office 365, Azure AD, Active Directory, Group policies and more
- Troubleshooting various other applications. (Training will be provided)
- Assist with meeting rooms equipment where required
- Work with and log issues internally and with Third Party vendors and follow up on resolutions to issues
- Keep company documentation up to date
- Assist in all areas of IT where required

Requirements
Skills and Experience Required
- Good understanding of General IT and knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to multi-task and be resourceful
- Team player with good collaboration skills
- Ability to communicate to all levels of the business clearly and with confidence
- Keen to learn all areas of infrastructure beyond your current level of understanding
- Ability to prioritise tasks and keep people well-informed where you may require assistance
