IT Support Engineer / IT Support Technician and Infrastructure Engineer

£35,000–£45,000 + Company Car + Private Medical + Pension
Dartford, Kent | Multi-Site IT Support | Monday–Friday

We're recruiting an experienced IT Support Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a long-established, privately owned automotive retail business operating multiple locations across Kent and South East London.

Supporting approximately 150 users across multiple sites, you'll become the main internal point of contact for everyday IT issues and provide hands-on support across Microsoft, hardware, networking and infrastructure.

This isn't a role where you'll spend every day working through tickets from the same desk. You'll have the opportunity to get out to different locations, troubleshoot issues in person, install equipment, support networks and infrastructure and take ownership of problems through to resolution.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide hands-on 1st and 2nd Line IT Support
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, Windows, login and connectivity issues
  • Support Microsoft 365 / Office 365
  • Support Outlook, Teams and OneDrive
  • Administer users and permissions within Active Directory / Entra ID
  • Set up new starters, laptops, PCs, email accounts and system access
  • Install and maintain PCs, laptops, printers and mobile devices
  • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, networks, switches, routers, VPNs and internet connectivity
  • Support business telephony
  • Monitor endpoint protection, patching, updates and backups
  • Maintain IT asset and software licence records
  • Work with external third-line IT and technology suppliers
  • Support IT equipment moves, refurbishments and new locations
  • Travel to local sites to resolve issues and complete installations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A full UK driving licence is essential as you'll regularly visit other company locations.

Automotive Experience?

Automotive experience would be useful but isn't essential. Experience with Keyloop, Autoline, Drive or another automotive Dealer Management System (DMS) would be particularly valuable, as would experience supporting IT within a motor dealership or multi-site retail environment.

However, strong IT Support Engineers from other industries are encouraged to apply.

  • Company car
  • Private medical insurance
  • Company pension
  • Laptop and mobile
  • 20 days' holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:00am–4:30pm
  • Training on specialist dealership systems

This could be an excellent next move for a 2nd Line Support Engineer who wants to get away from a traditional service desk and move into a broader position covering IT support, infrastructure, networking and multi-site technology.
