Summary
We are an innovative and market-leading software & services company based in Chorley serving clients in the utility sector ranging from new entrants to large existing suppliers. We deliver sophisticated software solutions and managed services in a Private Cloud infrastructure, servicing both traditional and modern real-time, smart energy clients.
We operate a Hybrid working policy so you will be able to flex between working in the office and your home location to carry out this role. However, during your initial training period the need to be in office with other team members will be essential.
You will be allowed 20% of your working week for the duration of your apprenticeship/course to either attend college during term time or use the time working from the office for college studies.
While this position is full-time, we are open to discussing flexible working patterns that accommodate individual needs. If you require flexibility in your work schedule, please let us know during the application process, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Position Responsibilities
- Provide remote and face to face day-to-day 1st line support for both hardware and software including Microsoft, Google Android, Apple iOS and general hardware support (e.g. PC, Printer, Laptop)
- Providing assistance to resolve support issues or escalating the call within the relevant team
- Dealing with software issues e.g. installation and upgrades
- Working on an IT Service Desk Platform to pick up, progress and action tickets coming into the 1st Line support queue
- Providing basic training over the phone for stakeholders when needed
- Assist with set up and resource deployment, including new user set up's, maintenance and control of user accounts, emails, password resets, and logins including network and third-party systems
- Support Starters, Leavers & Movers within ESG
- Hardware builds
- Check in hardware & deliveries to Corporate IT
- Keep up to date notes on the work completed through the helpdesk
Requirements
- 4 x GCSE at A*-D / 9-3 which must include GCSE Maths at A*-C / 9-4 and English at A*-D / 9-3 or equivalent, and a Level 2 Qualification in an IT related field or relevant industry experience
