IT Apprentice
At Beck Greener LLP, we are looking for an IT apprentice to be the face of the IT department. They will need to be confident to be able to approach all members of staff to deliver a customer-focused approach to IT. As such, they will need good customer service skills as they deliver first-line support to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support, responding to helpdesk requests and resolving hardware and software issues both remotely and on-site
- Log, track, and update support tickets, ensuring incidents are accurately recorded and managed through to resolution
- Diagnose technical issues and escalate complex problems to senior technicians when required
- Assist with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of computer hardware and peripheral devices
- Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot software applications and operating systems
- Support the maintenance and monitoring of IT systems, networks, and related infrastructure
- Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation, records, and reports
- Follow IT security procedures, best practices, and industry standards in all tasks undertaken
- Participate in apprenticeship training and development activities to build technical knowledge, skills, and experience
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, maintaining a professional, organised, and positive working environment

- Good customer service skills with a professional and helpful approach
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Basic understanding of computer systems, hardware, software, and Microsoft Office applications

- Reliable and dependable, with a strong work ethic
- Positive attitude with a willingness to help others and contribute to the team
Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject

Working Hours:
- 37.5 hours per week
