IT Support Assistant
Silverback Films are looking for a versatile, self-motivated IT Support Assistant to join their Technical / Editorial Support team.
This is a full-time position supporting all of Silverback’s award-winning Natural History output for television, social media, and theatrical release.
Job description
This is an onsite, Bristol office-based role to work alongside the IT and Media Systems Manager and Head of Tech. You will assist in the day-to-day running, maintenance, and logistics of the computers and IT equipment. Keeping up-to-date documentation and accurate track of equipment, managing data safely and securely.
Responsibilities
- System Administration – O365 + other proprietary softwares – Administer user accounts, groups, permissions, etc.
- Onboarding and offboarding staff.
- Hardware, Software, and database Maintenance.
- Technical Support – First-level technical support / Help desk.
Essential Skills and Experience
This is an early to mid-career role where previous IT experience in the following areas is vital.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
- Comfortable working with both MacOS and Windows.
- Office 365 System admin and support.
- General understanding of simple networking, including IP addresses.
- Basic knowledge of IT equipment such as servers, routers, switches, etc.
- Understanding of Cloud storage technologies.
- Maintaining clear, up-to-date documentation and accurate records.
- Good communication skills in all mediums (support can be via video call, phone, or email) – and the role will bridge all departments.
The Offer
- Start date is ASAP – October 2026.
- Contract with Silverback Films for 1 year with a 3-month probation.
- Hours would be office hours / working week with some flexibility on timings.
- Salary is dependent on experience.
