Overview of role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced IT professional to join us as our IT Support Engineer working directly alongside the IT Manager to deliver and mature IT support and infrastructure across the business.
You will work closely with the IT Manager, forming a small, tight-knit team responsible for building, administering and supporting IT infrastructure across multiple sites in London and globally. This is a hands-on role with 3 days in the office and with day-to-day ownership of core business applications, device management, and IT operations — freeing up the IT Manager to focus on strategy, security, and governance.
You'll be based in the London office, providing in-person and remote support for Windows and MacOS devices, managing MDM platforms (Jamf Pro, ManageEngine), overseeing system checks and monitoring, and managing escalations with third-party providers. You'll take ownership of core business applications (Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform, Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), Jamf Pro, Manage Engine and Zendesk) and play a key role in identifying opportunities to automate and improve IT workflows, including with AI tooling.
We're looking for someone with solid experience across end user IT equipment, MDM administration, and core business applications, plus a working knowledge of networking fundamentals. Exposure to scripting (Python is a bonus) and using AI to automate operational workflows will set strong candidates apart.
What you'll do
- Ticket Management: Own and manage the support ticket queue end-to-end, prioritising and resolving basic to complex issues.
- MDM & Device Management: Administer Jamf Pro and ManageEngine Endpoint Central for macOS/iOS and Windows device fleets, including enrolment, configuration profiles, and app deployment.
- Application & Workflow Administration: Administer core business applications including Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), and Zendesk, and more supporting configuration, permissions, and process design.
- Process Automation & AI: Identify repetitive or manual IT processes and build automated workflows using AI tools and scripting to reduce operational overhead.
- User Account & Access Management: Own the onboarding/off-boarding lifecycle across Google Workspace, MDM, and business applications, ensuring access is provisioned and revoked correctly and securely.
- Service Request Fulfilment: Handle and resolve service requests that from first-line support to more complex requests, working independently and knowing when to loop in the IT Manager.
- Incident Management: Log, triage, and drive incidents to resolution, ensuring timely fixes, clear root-cause documentation, and proactive communication with affected users.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and share knowledge with users and junior colleagues on IT tasks, tooling, and best practices.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across devices, applications, and infrastructure, escalating to the IT Manager only where necessary.
- User Assistance: Support users with day-to-day IT needs, from password resets and hardware maintenance to more involved application and access issues.
- Escalation: Act as the escalation point and know when to bring in the IT Manager or third-party vendors for the most complex issues.
- Customer Service: Maintain a high standard of customer service and clear communication with users across all levels of the business.
- Out of hours working: Certain IT projects and activities may need to be carried out outside normal business hours to avoid disrupting day-to-day operations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for processes, common issues, and configurations across MDM, applications, and infrastructure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
