IT Support Engineer - 2nd & 3rd Line - Leamington Spa | Full-Time On-Site

Contract Role - 5 Months (Potential Extension) - £250 per day - Inside IR35

5 x Days on-site is Mandatory + 12:00pm Finish Every Friday!

Working in a Microsoft environment, this position is 100% site-based and requires attendance on-site five (5) days per week. There is no home working or hybrid working available.

Role Overview

An established manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced 2nd to 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support in this Microsoft House across end-user computing, core infrastructure, and IT operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining system availability, resolving technical issues, supporting IT projects, and delivering excellent user experience.

Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As part of the working pattern, employees finish at 12:00 pm every Friday.

Essential Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Hyper-V support.
  • Strong desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals including Wi-Fi, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Experience working within structured IT support and escalation processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing 2nd to 3rd Line support and managing support tickets through to resolution or escalation.
  • Provision and configure new user accounts and devices using MDT, Intune, and Microsoft technologies.
  • Complete secure user offboarding activities including account deactivation and asset recovery.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, mobile, and network-related incidents.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Support IT asset management, procurement activities, and inventory control.
  • Assist with ongoing infrastructure improvements and IT projects.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have previous IT support experience at 2nd & 3rd Line level in a Microsoft environment, strong troubleshooting skills, and a practical hands-on approach to supporting business-critical systems and users.
