About The Role
Our client, a leading IT Service Provider, is seeking a keen, enthusiastic, and switched-on IT Support Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced and supportive environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year’s experience in a similar IT role, ideally within a managed service provider (MSP), although candidates from other industries will also be considered. The primary focus will be on providing high-quality 1st Line support to clients and end-users, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
As part of the team, you will have the chance to work with a broad range of clients, gaining exposure to various technologies and systems. You will collaborate closely with 2nd and 3rd Line Engineers, learning from their expertise and advancing your technical skillset. The role requires candidates to have their own vehicle, as travel to client sites may be necessary to provide on-site support and installations. Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar IT support role, preferably within an MSP environment
- Strong knowledge of desktop support, networking, and infrastructure
- Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Windows OS and MS 365
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts such as LAN, DNS, and DHCP
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory management
- Excellent communication skills, confident in liaising with colleagues and clients at all levels
- Own vehicle and valid driving license for travel to client sites
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for clients and end-users, efficiently handling 1st Line support tickets with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ensure all support tickets and queries are resolved within agreed SLAs, maintaining high standards of service
- Perform hardware and software installations, including configuring printers, routers, PCs, and AV equipment
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers for further assistance and resolution
- Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring clients receive professional and timely support at all times
- Document technical issues and solutions accurately for future reference and knowledge sharing
- Assist in routine maintenance and upgrades of client systems and infrastructure
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices
