IT Support Specialist
An exciting opportunity to join a growing international organisation as its sole IT support resource in the UK. You will take ownership of day-to-day IT support for UK-based employees, acting as their primary point of contact for technical issues while collaborating with colleagues and external IT partners across the wider international business.
This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of problems and delivering a high standard of user support. Alongside managing the UK support function, you will contribute to wider IT projects, improve processes and documentation, and help enhance the overall employee technology experience.
The role offers exposure to a broad Microsoft environment, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID and Azure, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills and take on increasing responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Sole UK IT support: Act as the primary IT support contact for UK employees, managing day-to-day technical issues and ensuring users receive timely, effective support.
- End-user support: Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, business applications, hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Service desk ownership: Manage the UK support queue, prioritise incidents and requests, communicate progress and take issues through to resolution wherever possible.
- User and access management: Support onboarding and offboarding, user accounts, passwords, permissions and software licences.
- Device management: Assist with laptop provisioning, configuration and endpoint management using Microsoft Intune.
- Escalation and collaboration: Resolve issues independently where possible and work with international IT colleagues and external managed service providers when specialist support is required.
- Stakeholder relationships: Build strong relationships with UK employees and stakeholders, providing responsive, customer-focused support.
- Projects and improvements: Contribute to technology rollouts, migrations, configuration changes and wider IT initiatives.
- Documentation: Maintain clear technical documentation, support guides and knowledge-base articles.
- Continuous improvement: Identify recurring issues, recommend practical improvements and help make IT support more efficient.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
