About The Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our client’s dynamic Service Desk team on a 3-month contract basis in Liverpool. This role is ideal for a proactive and customer-focused IT professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to deliver high-quality technical support across the organization. As an integral part of the IT support structure, you will serve as the primary contact for all IT-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining optimal operational efficiency. Your role will involve troubleshooting hardware and software problems, supporting core business applications, and providing remote assistance to end-users. Working closely with the wider IT team, you will help uphold the company’s standards for excellent service delivery, ensuring users receive professional, responsive, and customer-centric support at every touchpoint.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience and skills, including but not limited to:
- Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and support.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or equivalent.
- Familiarity with iManage (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience supporting Windows desktop environments.
- Understanding of Active Directory and user account management.
- Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Experience with remote support tools and techniques.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer include:
- Providing first and second-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Logging, managing, and resolving incidents and service requests efficiently and effectively.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 related issues to minimize downtime.
- Supporting users across Windows desktop environments and core business applications.
- Utilizing ServiceNow to track and manage support tickets in accordance with established service levels.
- Supporting and troubleshooting iManage document management system when required.
- Escalating complex technical issues to senior support teams as necessary.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and updating knowledge base articles to facilitate future support.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the IT department to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement.

This position requires the candidate to be onsite in Liverpool five days a week, ensuring close collaboration with the team and prompt support to end-users.
