Renault Retail Group is looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our UK IT team.
This field-based role supports more than 17 retail locations across our dealership network, maintaining and improving technology within a multi-site retail environment.
The role combines field engineering responsibilities with remote helpdesk support and forms part of a collaborative UK support team. You'll work closely with fellow IT Engineers to provide mutual territory cover and help maintain consistent service levels across the business.
Your primary territory will cover London and the Home Counties, with occasional travel to Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff and Swansea, plus ad-hoc visits to other business locations when required.
What You'll Do
- Provide on-site IT support across multiple dealerships, resolving hardware, software and end-user issues in a professional and customer-focused manner
- Install, configure and support desktops, laptops, telephony equipment, printers, POS devices and associated IT infrastructure
- Deliver a blend of field engineering and helpdesk support, managing and resolving 1st, 2nd and 3rd line incidents across multiple sites and business functions
- Take ownership of local IT projects, deployments, upgrades and technology rollouts, working closely with international teams and external suppliers to ensure successful delivery
- Support network technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN connectivity, LAN and Wi-Fi environments
- Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, system records, asset registers and support procedures, sharing improvements and recommendations with management and the wider IT team where appropriate
- Carry out system maintenance, health checks and testing activities whilst identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

Territory & Travel
This is a field-based role with a primary focus on our dealerships and showrooms throughout London and the Home Counties.
Some travel will also be required to our retail locations in Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff and Swansea, together with occasional visits to related business locations.
The role is based from Renault Hayes, Middlesex.
Priority will be given to candidates who reside within practical access of the M4, M25, or western sections of the A406, due to their proximity to the Hayes home base and the key transport routes connecting our dealership network across London and the Home Counties.
We will also consider professionally experienced and suitably qualified candidates based south of the River Thames or towards North and East London where their location and experience support practical coverage of our wider dealership network.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with excellent organisation and customer service skills.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous IT support, field engineering, technical support or helpdesk experience, ideally gained within a multi-site retail environment, dealership network, managed service provider (MSP), or similarly varied operational environment
- Strong Microsoft 365 and Windows environment knowledge
- Experience supporting end-user devices, hardware deployments and IT infrastructure
- Understanding of networking concepts including SD-WAN, routing, firewalls, VPNs, LAN and Wi-Fi environments
- Experience working with suppliers, service providers or project teams

Professional certifications such as CompTIA, CCNA, ITIL or equivalent experience would be advantageous but are not essential.
Experience of PCI DSS, ISO 27001 or ITIL environments would also be beneficial.
Driving Licence Requirement
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role. Automatic-only licences can be considered.
Regular travel between dealership locations forms a core part of this position.
Hours & Pay
This role is based on a 45-hour working week, typically Monday to Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
Basic salary is £35,700 pa.
An annual bonus of up to 15% is available and regularly achieved.
The role is eligible for Renault Retail Group's ECOS/ECOP vehicle scheme after one month's service. A temporary company vehicle may be provided beforehand if required, subject to company policy.
Business mileage, approved travel expenses and overnight accommodation will be reimbursed where applicable.
A company laptop and mobile phone are provided.
