The main responsibility of the job is to provide first and second line IT support to our London schools and central trust office. You will be based at the central trust office in Hammersmith and work alongside one other IT support engineer, Eduthing (MSP), and the Operations Manager.

As well as the day to day support you will also be expected to be involved with project work ensuring that solutions are implemented, and project delivery dates met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of user devices, ensuring they are maintained and managed correctly
  • Management of mobile devices via JamF
  • Providing high-quality technical support, advice and guidance to staff, students and trainee teachers
  • Ensuring all IT issues that can’t be resolved by the on-site IT team are escalated to our MSP
  • Maintenance of all virtual and physical networking infrastructure
  • Ensure the ticket system is maintained and staff use the ticket system for logging IT related queries
  • Provisioning of IT accounts for staff and pupils
  • Maintaining all computer, AV, and other tech equipment across the schools
  • Administration of the Office365 tenancy
  • Make suggestions for improvements to the infrastructure and day to day practices
  • Maintaining and updating the asset registers
  • Creating documentation and ensuring IT SharePoint areas are well maintained
  • Holiday checks on classroom equipment and other supporting technology equipment / infrastructure
  • Support the aims, values, mission, and ethos of the school and participate in a team approach to all aspects of school life
  • Ensuring that any impact on teaching and learning is dealt with immediately
  • Communication with key stakeholders and IT manager
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings as required and identify areas of personal practice and experience to develop
  • Being available to resolve other technical issues as directed by the IT Manager
