About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a solid background in networking and infrastructure to contribute to a growing organization. As an escalation point for first-line support, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex networking, security, and connectivity issues, ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems for our clients across the UK. Qualifications

The successful candidate should have a strong technical background with relevant certifications and experience, including but not limited to:

  • Proven experience in networking, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall management
  • Hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, VLAN, and VPN troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of wireless infrastructure support
  • Experience with server maintenance, patch management, and backups
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Understanding of IT security best practices and protocols

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer include:

  • Providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for networking and infrastructure issues
  • Acting as an escalation point for first-line support queries
  • Supporting and maintaining network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Managing server environments, including patching, backups, and performance optimization
  • Implementing and supporting security measures to safeguard client systems
  • Participating in project work, including network upgrades and infrastructure deployments
  • Conducting on-site visits to client locations as required
  • Documenting technical procedures and maintaining detailed records of support activities
