IT Support Engineer | Swindon
I'm currently recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to join a well-established global organisation on an initial 12-month contract, supporting a busy operational site in Swindon.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership of issues, and acting as the face of IT on-site. You'll be part of a small local IT team providing support across office, production and laboratory environments, whilst working closely with remote infrastructure and service desk teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to end users
- Build, deploy and support laptops and end-user devices
- Support Microsoft Autopilot provisioning and device lifecycle activities
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and peripheral issues
- Support meeting room and collaboration technologies
- Manage incidents, requests and changes through ServiceNow
- Provide smart hands support for remote infrastructure, network and server teams
- Maintain IT asset records and support asset lifecycle management
- Deliver excellent customer service across a diverse user base

Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in an IT Support Engineer, Desktop Support, Site Support or End User Computing role
- Strong understanding of ITIL-based support environments
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools
- Asset Management and Change Management experience
- Windows environment support experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues through to resolution
