IT Support Technician
Lisburn | £30,000-£35,000 | Pension and Private Healthcare
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT support professional who wants more than a conventional service desk position. You will provide 1st and 2nd Line support across office, operational and site-based environments while working closely with the IT Manager on infrastructure, security, and digital-improvement projects.
The position is fully on-site in Lisburn and offers a 1:30pm finish every Friday.
The Role
As the first point of contact for day-to-day IT support, you will:
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, Microsoft 365, printing, mobile-device, and network-connectivity issues.
- Support Windows PCs, laptops, printers, and other business technology.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, password resets, and MFA.
- Assist with onboarding and leaver processes.
- Support Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Install software, manage access requests, and assist with licensing and updates.
- Log, prioritise, and document incidents, escalating more complex issues when required.
- Assist with backups, endpoint protection, patching, and routine system checks.
- Maintain IT documentation, asset records, and user guidance.
- Support technology rollouts, supplier coordination, and continuous-improvement projects.
- Help the business make better use of Microsoft tools and digital workflows.

What You Will Need
- Previous experience in an IT support, service desk, helpdesk, or technician position.
- Good working knowledge of Windows devices and Microsoft 365.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printing, and basic networking issues.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, customer-focused approach.
- The ability to prioritise effectively in a busy operational environment.
- An HND in Computing or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- A valid UK driving licence.

- Microsoft Entra ID or Azure.
- Endpoint security, backup products, or ticketing systems.
- ERP implementations, transitions, or upgrades.
- Construction, manufacturing, production, or another operational environment.
- Automation, reporting, or digital workflow tools.
Package
- Salary of £30,000-£35,000.
- Pension.
- Private healthcare.
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
- Friday, 8:00am-1:30pm.
- Fully on-site in Lisburn.
