About The Role

Robert Half is supporting a client in recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to join their dynamic IT Services Team. This role is vital in ensuring the seamless operation of internal systems and providing exceptional support to colleagues across the organization. As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day IT support requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative environment that values innovation, continuous learning, and professional development. You will play a key role in supporting Microsoft 365 applications, internal systems, and hardware, ensuring that the organization’s technology functions efficiently and securely. The role also involves supporting new technology implementations, assisting with office projects, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of IT services.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused approach. Relevant qualifications and experience are essential for success in this role. Candidates should have at least three years of hands-on IT support experience, demonstrating proficiency in managing helpdesk tickets, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and supporting enterprise applications. Knowledge of Active Directory administration, Windows 11, and Microsoft 365 support is required. Additionally, experience supporting laptops, monitors, docks, and video conferencing equipment is highly desirable. Strong troubleshooting skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are critical. Certifications such as Microsoft or CompTIA qualifications, along with familiarity with Azure, Azure AD, and ITIL frameworks, are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage helpdesk tickets efficiently, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues across the organization.
  • Provide support for laptops, monitors, docks, and meeting room equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Assist users with corporate iPhones, personal devices, and internal applications, ensuring seamless connectivity and usability.
  • Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues, maintaining stable and secure network environments.
  • Manage user accounts for new starters and leavers, including onboarding and offboarding procedures.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset records and documentation for hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Deliver basic IT inductions and training for new employees to facilitate smooth onboarding.
  • Support the management of Teams, Exchange Online groups, and distribution lists to ensure effective communication channels.
  • Assist with IT equipment rollouts, office relocations, and other technical projects to support business operations.
  • Provide ongoing support for Microsoft 365 applications and internal systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Help maintain the helpdesk system, automate processes, and support phishing awareness initiatives to enhance security posture.
  • Embrace new technologies, including automation tools and artificial intelligence, to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
