Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced individual with a positive “bedside manner” to support our UK operations.

This person will be responsible for leading IT operations for our London office, as part of a global IT team. The scope of responsibilities will include deskside and remote (voice, video, remote assist) support, systems administration, and telephony/conferencing support. You will be based in London, but there will be occasional (reimbursed) travel to our other sites.

Typical workload includes on/offboarding users, installing/upgrading/troubleshooting applications on workstations, coordinating support with third-party software vendors, voice & video support and regular (usage, licensing, access) audits. There will be high-pressure moments supporting trading operations sprinkled in between proactive work to maintain and improve information security (you will work closely with our InfoSec team as well).

The person in this position will also assist with project work which can include provision and deployment of physical and virtual workstations, creation and management of systems configurations and policies and consolidations/migrations of Office and other applications.

Core Requirements & Technical Skills

  • 5+ years of IT Support experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and support acumen: able to support colleagues whether they are next to you or thousands of miles away
  • Working knowledge of authentication, SSO, MFA and Conditional Access policies
  • Demonstrated experience managing TCP/IP networks, Active Directory, Entra and Intune
  • Installation, configuration, troubleshooting of PCs, laptops, and telephony equipment (desk and trading phones), videoconferencing hardware
  • Provide ad-hoc services such as networking of meeting rooms, backup/contingency sites and setting up rooms for projects or other special business needs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with diagnosing and troubleshooting issues on both Windows and Mac OS
  • Microsoft Office 365 management portal including Exchange, Defender, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of IT and service offerings to identify how best to address end user technology needs and incidents.
  • Resolve incidents associated with firm-standard end user software and hardware, including mobile/hand-held technologies (Android /iOS).
  • Understand the Firm's business and organisation sufficiently to anticipate and resolve end user technology issues that affect productivity of Firm personnel.
  • Knowledge and experience with Azure, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, CrowdStrike, Cloud 9 are highly desirable.
  • Comfort, willingness and experience incorporating AI (copilot, Claude, Cursor) into daily work
  • In addition to the above, an entrepreneurial mindset is key as you will be required to pitch in with anything else that might be outside of the scope of the aforementioned items.

Base Salary

Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training. However, compensation in the following regions is expected to be as follows:

London

  • Compensation is expected to be between £68,000-£72,000
