Buro Happold has an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Officer to join the team on a 6-month fixed term contract.
The role will be based in our Bath office and hybrid working is available with 3 days a week in the office. Occasional travel to the other offices will be required.
About The Role
The successful candidate will be expected to complete defined IT maintenance and support tasks as directed by the IT Leadership team, through the IT Service Desk, and in support of the IT Support Leader based in Bath. Occasional travel to other remote UK offices may be required.
Success in this role will involve a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service to colleagues across the UK. The ideal candidate will be naturally curious and enjoy resolving a wide variety of technical issues. Strong organisational skills are essential to maintain governance over asset management, ensuring both software and hardware are properly managed, and that staff onboarding and offboarding processes run smoothly.
The individual should be comfortable working autonomously, leveraging available resources to diagnose and resolve technical incidents. At the same time, they must be an effective team player, able to collaborate and communicate clearly to ensure shared responsibilities are handled efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Complete allocated tickets from the Service Desk in line with agreed service levels
- Complete IT related tasks in the Bath office
- Supporting 3rd line teams with local tasks in the office
- On and Off boarding Staff
- System & Application Support (MS Office/O365, general desktop/application support)
- Hardware Support (desktop pc/laptop installation/mobile configuration)
- AV / Video Conferencing Support and Setup
- Equipment procurement & Stock management
- Desk side support

About You:
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
- Microsoft Office Troubleshooting
- Windows 10/11 Troubleshooting
- Windows Server Troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of colleagues
- Customer Service Experience
- Administering and supporting O365 (Exchange/Azure AD/Endpoint)
- ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tool experience
- MECM/SCCM Administration
- On Prem AD administration
- Experience working with Backup solutions
- Familiar with Networking Fundamentals
- Knowledge of VC/Conferencing Systems (Teams Rooms)
- Install and configure computer systems, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and software faults.
