Apprentice IT Support & Software Apprentice
As an Apprentice IT Support & Software Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced members of our development and IT team, learning how software is designed, developed, tested, and maintained.
What you'll do at work
You will learn to:
- Supporting the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and business applications.
- Monitoring system performance and helping maintain IT infrastructure as 1st line support/helpdesk support.
- Supporting software deployments, updates, and system testing.
- Assisting with user account administration, and access management.
- Supporting cloud-based services, and business systems.
- Maintaining documentation and support procedures.
- Following organizational policies relating to data protection and business continuity.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of internal software and business systems.
- Write, test, and debug code.
- Help develop new features and improvements to existing applications.
- Investigate and resolve software issues.
- Work with databases and business data.
- Assist with integrations between different systems and platforms.
- Test new software and updates before deployment.
- Document development work and technical processes.
- Work with colleagues across different departments to understand business requirements.
- Follow good development practices relating to security, testing, and data protection.
- Take part in development meetings and project discussions.
- Keep up to date with new technologies and development techniques.
