IT Support Specialist
Wimbledon, South West London | Onsite | Up to £40,000
The Opportunity
Tenth Revolution Group are working exclusively with an established, technically focused Managed Service Provider (MSP) with over 20 years of experience supporting small and growing businesses across London.
This is an opportunity to join a hands-on MSP where you won't simply sit behind a service desk closing tickets. You'll work closely with customers, get involved across their wider IT environments and take genuine ownership of problems from start to finish.
The business has built its reputation by hiring technically capable, motivated people who are willing to learn, take responsibility and deliver a high-quality service to clients.
You'll have exposure to a broad range of Microsoft technologies, cloud services, networking, infrastructure, security and end-user environments. The role would suit someone who enjoys variety and wants to become a well-rounded IT professional, rather than specialising in one narrow area.
What You'll Be Doing
The role is a mixture of 2nd Line IT Support, infrastructure, client support and general IT operations.
IT Support
- Provide 2nd Line support across a range of Microsoft and IT technologies.
- Manage user accounts, password resets, permissions and access.
- Support Microsoft 365, email, SharePoint and VPN environments.
- Configure laptops, devices and user equipment.
- Troubleshoot Windows hardware and software issues.
- Diagnose and resolve printer, connectivity and general user issues.
- Prepare and send laptops and equipment to clients.
- Take ownership of issues rather than simply passing tickets between teams.
Infrastructure & Networking
- Support client networks, Wi-Fi, routers and access points.
- Assist with new lines, internet connectivity and ISP-related issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot network equipment.
- Support firewall, security and connectivity requirements.
- Work with external suppliers where required.
- Maintain accurate information around client infrastructure and network environments.
- Develop your knowledge across cloud, networking, security and Microsoft technologies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Customer Service & Consultancy
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients.
- Speak directly with customers to understand what they actually need, rather than simply fixing the immediate technical problem.
- Advise clients on technology, licensing and potential solutions.
- Understand that not every customer problem is purely technical.
- Provide a professional, structured and organised service.
- Take responsibility for seeing problems through to resolution.
- Identify opportunities to improve the way clients use technology.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone broader than a traditional IT Support Technician.
You don't need to know absolutely everything. The team can train the right person on areas where they have gaps, particularly around networking, infrastructure, licensing and the wider MSP environment.
What matters most is that you're:
- Proactive and self-motivated – you don't need to be constantly told what to do.
- Organised and structured – you can manage multiple responsibilities and keep things moving.
- Hands-on and practical – you're comfortable getting stuck into problems.
- A problem solver – you look at the issue and work out how to resolve it.
- Client-focused – you can communicate properly with customers and build trust.
- Accountable – when you take ownership of something, you see it through.
- Curious – you're interested in learning new technologies and broadening your technical knowledge.
- Common-sense driven – you're comfortable dealing with anything from a Microsoft 365 issue to sending a laptop to a customer.
We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate responsibility and initiative outside of their technical career too. That could be leadership in a sports team, volunteering, running a club or simply examples where you've taken ownership and organised people or projects.
You don't need to have managed a team. We're looking for someone who manages themselves exceptionally well and takes responsibility.

Technical Experience
Ideally, you'll have experience across a combination of:
- 2nd Line IT Support
- Microsoft 365 / Office 365
- Windows environments
- SharePoint
- User and access management
- VPNs
- Hardware and desktop troubleshooting
- Networking fundamentals
- Wi-Fi, routers and access points
- Firewalls
- MDM / endpoint management
- Cloud technologies
- ISP / internet connectivity
Experience working within an MSP environment would be highly advantageous, but isn't essential. The company has a broad Microsoft technology environment and will give you the opportunity to develop your skills across areas including Microsoft cloud services, security, networking and infrastructure.
The Company
Our client is an established Managed Service Provider that has been operating for over 20 years.
They're a technically focused business that provides enterprise-level technology solutions and managed IT services to small and fast-growing organisations.
The culture is very different from a large corporate IT department. It's a small, close-knit team of engineers where everyone is expected to contribute, learn from each other and take ownership.
The business is continually looking at new technologies and better ways of working, with a genuine focus on continuous service improvement and helping clients get more value from their IT.
This isn't a role where you'll be boxed into a narrow job description. If you want to learn something new, improve a client's environment or take on more responsibility, you'll have the opportunity to do so.
Why This Role?
If you're an IT Support professional who is tired of simply resetting passwords, closing tickets and moving onto the next issue, this is a chance to do something much broader.
You'll be trusted to get involved, speak to customers, solve problems, learn new technology and take genuine ownership of the IT environments you're supporting.
The ideal person isn't necessarily the person who knows the most. It's the person who takes responsibility, asks the right questions, figures things out and gets things done.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
