IT Support Specialist I
Job Summary
The IT Support Specialist I provides on-site and remote support for application and hardware issues.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Routinely travels between various sites to support workstations and users
- Provides professional and efficient customer service while engaged in the clinical environments and performs duties with a low level of technical supervision
- Installs and supports various types of hardware. Supported hardware includes Dell desktop & notebook computers, HP printers, Apple IOS devices, Otech tablets, Fujitsu document scanners, and Cisco IP phones
- Provides support for NextGen medical EHR/EPM and dental EDR applications
- Provides support for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and other software packages
- Provides technical assistance for meetings and presentations
- Performs inventory duties of hardware and software assets
- Performs account management of IT systems
- Creates detailed documentation of work performed
- Performs non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity given defined objectives
- Keeps up to date on all agency systems but may specialize in specific areas of expertise
- Supports network security and privacy of all agency data that is consistent with Joint Commission standards and agency policies
- Occasionally expected to work after hours and weekends

Requirements
Education, Certifications and/or Experience:
- Associates degree in an IT concentration or minimum two years of work experience in an IT environment with an emphasis on hardware and application support

- Professional IT certifications preferred
- Proficiency of computer hardware and software application concepts
- Familiarity with networking technologies
- Help desk and/or call center environment experience desired
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic work environment
- Ability to handle concurrent assignments
- Good organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle

- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position
- Ability to meet the attendance requirements of the position
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend to perform job duties
- Ability to lift and move reasonably heavy equipment assisted and unassisted
