This position serves as a senior technical resource for complex matters, advises colleagues and stakeholders, and leads improvements to support practices, procedures, documentation, and service quality.

Responsibilities

Technical Support and Problem Resolution

  • Own resolution of complex and non-routine end-user incidents and service requests, applying independent judgment to determine the appropriate diagnostic, remediation, and escalation approach.
  • Analyze issues across laptops, desktops, operating systems, productivity applications, mobile devices, user access, and related corporate technologies; adapt existing methods and develop practical solutions where standard procedures are insufficient.
  • Act as a senior technical resource for the support team by advising colleagues on difficult issues, sharing technical knowledge, and helping establish consistent approaches to recurring problems.

  • Coordinate and improve new-hire IT onboarding across supported locations, aligning device provisioning, account setup, access, and readiness activities to business requirements.
  • Own assigned end-user device lifecycle activities, including imaging, provisioning, repair, replacement, and process improvements, and partner with the IT Manager and vendors to resolve complex hardware and service issues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
