IT Support Specialist – VIP & Executive Support
Slough | 1 day per week onsite in Slough + 2 days per week in London + 2 From Home
Travel to London paid
Are you an experienced IT Support professional who enjoys being the person people turn to when technology needs to just work?
We're looking for a confident, personable and technically strong IT Support Specialist to join a growing international organisation in a highly visible role supporting users across the UK.
This isn't your typical ticket-queue Service Desk position.
You'll have the opportunity to work directly with senior executives, VIP users and key stakeholders, providing a genuinely high-touch IT service where your technical ability, communication skills and professionalism will be just as important as your ability to fix the problem.
Your base will be Slough, where you'll be required onsite one day per week. You'll also travel into London approximately twice a week to provide onsite support. Your travel time/costs for journeys into London will be paid, making this an attractive opportunity for someone who enjoys a role that gets them out from behind a desk and working directly with the business. The remainder of your time will be split between supporting users remotely and working from the Slough office.
You'll become a trusted point of contact for technology support, particularly for senior stakeholders and VIP users, while also supporting the wider UK operation.
What you'll be doing
- Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support across Slough and London.
- Delivering a high-quality, highly responsive support service to senior executives and VIP users.
- Troubleshooting Windows, macOS, iOS, Microsoft 365, hardware, software and business applications.
- Supporting Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including accounts, permissions and user onboarding/offboarding.
- Diagnosing connectivity issues across LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.
- Supporting Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, meeting rooms and AV technology.
- Managing incidents and service requests through an ITSM platform such as ServiceNow.
- Working closely with external IT suppliers and managed service providers.
- Supporting hardware deployments, device refreshes, asset management and IT projects.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and helping improve IT processes and the overall user experience.
- Providing occasional out-of-hours support when required for critical incidents or executive users.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
