IT Support Technician
Salary: £32,074 pa
Contract: Full time, permanent – 35 hours per week
Location: Hybrid – minimum two days per week in our London office
Are you an experienced IT support professional who enjoys solving problems and helping people get the most from technology?
We’re looking for an IT Support Technician to provide friendly, responsive and effective technical support to colleagues across GamCare. You’ll be the first point of contact for day-to-day IT incidents and service requests, helping around 250 staff and trustees work effectively within our Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 and Azure-based environment.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll troubleshoot hardware, software, access and connectivity issues; administer Microsoft 365; set up and maintain laptops and mobile devices; and work with colleagues and external IT providers to resolve more complex problems. You’ll also support IT projects, new starter set-ups, equipment and asset management, cyber security good practice and ongoing improvements to our IT service.
About you
You’ll have considerable experience of working in an IT helpdesk, service desk or IT support environment, with the confidence to diagnose common technical issues and see problems through to resolution. Just as importantly, you’ll be approachable and customer-focused, able to explain technical information clearly to colleagues with different levels of IT knowledge and confidence.

You’ll bring practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows devices, user account management and device configuration, with experience of supporting laptops, mobile phones, printers, networks and common business applications.
Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, data protection and cyber security principles will also be important. You’ll be organised, collaborative and proactive, comfortable managing competing priorities while keeping accurate records and delivering a high standard of support.
