About The Role

We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Analyst to join an established team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created position driven by the organization’s growth and expansion. The role is based on-site in Guildford, requiring a commitment of five days a week. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are currently working in 1st Line Support, Service Desk roles, or IT Support Analysts seeking to advance their careers. As part of a collaborative team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality technical support to internal users, ensuring the stability and security of IT systems, and contributing to continuous improvements in IT services and infrastructure. Your efforts will directly impact the end-user experience and operational efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in providing technical support within a similar environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Relevant qualifications include certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or ITIL Foundation. A solid understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, hardware lifecycle management, and desktop/laptop setup and maintenance is essential. Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including troubleshooting connectivity issues, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and user management technologies, is also required. Additional experience with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365 administration, Cisco Meraki, Sophos Central, backup solutions, or Linux environments would be advantageous, though not mandatory. A full UK driving license is essential due to travel requirements between sites.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing hands-on 1st and 2nd line support by responding to incidents and service requests promptly and professionally.
  • Diagnosing and resolving a variety of technical issues, such as user account administration, password resets, multi-factor authentication support, software installations, and hardware faults.
  • Configuring and deploying new hardware and software.
  • Supporting day-to-day IT operations.
  • Maintaining a stable and secure technology environment.
  • Maintaining accurate IT documentation.
  • Assisting with hardware asset management and inventory control.
  • Working closely with senior IT colleagues and third-party vendors to escalate issues when necessary.
  • Developing your technical knowledge.
  • Suggesting process improvements to enhance user experience.
