Based: Dinnington, Sheffield (S25)
Starting out in IT support and looking for a place where you'll learn, not just reset passwords all day?
Enjoy helping people and getting to the bottom of a problem?
Want to join a well-established, growing MSP where you're a name, not a number?
Let's have a conversation about your next career move.
Who are we?
Our client is a Managed IT Services provider based in Dinnington, South Yorkshire. They have been supporting SMEs across Sheffield, Doncaster, Lincoln, and the surrounding areas for over 15 years.
They are a team of nine, so you'd be the tenth. Our client is ISO 9001 certified and hold Cyber Essentials Plus and IASME Cyber Assurance. They are also growing into Managed AI Services with Microsoft Copilot and AI agents, so there's plenty going on and lots of room to develop.
Our client's helpdesk is the first point of contact for their clients. That makes this role central to how our client's customers experience, and your contribution really matters.
What you'll be doing
- Answering calls, emails, and tickets from client end users, and logging, prioritising, and updating tickets clearly.
- Diagnosing and resolving first-line issues such as password resets, MFA, Outlook and Teams problems, printers, and basic Windows and connectivity faults.
- Microsoft 365 user administration: setting up new starters and leavers, licences, mailboxes, shared mailboxes, and permissions.
- Preparing and deploying laptops and desktops, including Intune enrolment, with training provided.
- Escalating more complex issues to the 2nd and 3rd line engineers with good notes, and learning from how they're resolved.
- Keeping client documentation and knowledge base articles accurate and up to date.
- Occasional onsite visits to set up equipment or support users.
- Suggesting ways our client can improve their processes and the service they give their clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
