About The Role
Jelly Technical is seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician to join their dynamic team in Leek. This hands-on role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems across both office and manufacturing environments. As the first point of contact for technical issues, you will play a crucial role in maintaining operational continuity, supporting production activities, and facilitating administrative functions. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, optimize system performance, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the business. This position offers a negotiable salary based on experience and provides an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to develop their careers in a manufacturing setting.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in IT support or a similar helpdesk role, demonstrating a solid understanding of core IT systems and troubleshooting techniques. A strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and hardware devices such as laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, and scanners is essential. Candidates should have proven problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Excellent customer service skills are vital, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff. Independence, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are also important. While experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement.

Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for office and factory users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Log, track, and manage all incoming technical issues using the IT service-management system, escalating complex problems when necessary.
- Set up, configure, and maintain essential workplace hardware, including laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, and scanners.
- Manage the complete onboarding and offboarding process for new and departing employees, including equipment setup and access configuration.
- Monitor endpoint security, assist with basic network troubleshooting, and provide support for Microsoft 365 applications and core business systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all company IT assets, ensuring proper inventory management and lifecycle tracking.
