Job Specification: IT Support Technician (Level 2)

We are seeking a skilled Level 2 Technician to provide comprehensive deskside support at our Mossmorran site. This is a fixed-term contract focused on maintaining high-quality end-user computing (EUC) services.

Core Details

  • Site Location: Mossmorran
  • Contract Duration: Full-time position until the end of August followed by Scheduled Visits 1-2 times per week
  • Estimated Volume: Engineer to support the site till August
  • Technician Level: Level 2
  • Pay Rate: £150 per day

Services in Scope

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Deskside support: PC, laptop, peripherals, software
  • Printer Support
  • Staging

Technical Skills:

  • Good general understanding of IT principles such as Networks, Hardware, and Domains
  • Working knowledge of leading software packages such as MS Office and Lotus Notes
  • Good working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and related software and applications
  • Good experience in End User device hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of mobile devices, in particular Blackberry and iPhones
  • Experience with building, configuring, replacing, and troubleshooting EUC hardware components
  • Good Experience in Data Backup Techniques
  • Familiarity with virtual, MDM, and VPN environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of ITIL and experience of working within an ITIL environment, knowledge, and experience of working in Service NOW

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

Engineers have to perform Sterling BGV and proceed with onboarding before accessing the site. Also, we will have to procure PPE, if the engineer doesn't have it.

Sterling check includes:

  • Employment Check (last 5 years)
  • Educational check
  • Global Sanctions Check
  • Motor vehicle record check
