ColCap has warehouse funding lines with both domestic and overseas banks which provide competitive and diverse funding and is an experienced issuer of Residential Mortgage Backed Securities.

Role: IT Systems Administrator

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting ColCap’s UK technology environment across the London and Birmingham offices, providing responsive end-user support, managing onboarding and offboarding, maintaining devices and systems, and working with internal teams and vendors to keep services secure, reliable and well documented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Log all support requests in the IT Helpdesk system, manage tickets through to resolution within agreed service levels, and provide support for IT issues assigned through the Helpdesk.
  • Own and manage new user onboarding, including setup on all systems.
  • Own and manage the offboarding process ensuring access is removed across all systems.
  • Ensure all computers are updated with the latest Microsoft security patches and antivirus definitions.
  • Support Windows platforms, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
  • Set up and configure all company devices, including mobiles, using the MDM.
  • Assist with video conferencing requirements.
  • Liaise with vendors to resolve service/application issues.
  • Coordinate with IT suppliers for the purchasing of all IT equipment.
  • Manage IT inventory and asset management.
  • Support and troubleshoot end-user hardware, software and applications, with travel between London and Birmingham offices as needed.
  • Collaborate with Head Office in Australia to troubleshoot issues reported by users when required.
  • Participate in IT projects when required.
  • Perform first-level Network Troubleshooting tasks if required.
  • Create and maintain documentation for IT systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Train staff on the proper use of IT systems and best practices.
  • Promote secure technology practices by supporting user awareness, following access management procedures, and escalating suspected security risks or incidents in line with ColCap processes.
  • Undertake any other reasonable requests.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator.
  • Experience supporting multi-site clients, including international locations.

Intermediate level of knowledge and application in:

  • MS Windows Server Technologies
  • Active Directory – management and administration
  • Microsoft 365 administration and management
  • Intune – administration and management
  • Cloud-based SaaS environments
  • DarkTrace (desirable)
  • CXOne (desirable)

Ability to configure and troubleshoot issues using:

  • All MS Windows Server Platforms
  • All MS Exchange Technologies
  • All Microsoft 365 technologies

Ability to configure auto provisioning and management of access via Okta

Experience supporting G Suite

Experience managing Windows devices

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements:

  • May require lifting and moving computer equipment.
  • Ability to work in a seated position for extended periods

Work Environment:

  • Office-based, with travel between the London and Birmingham offices
  • Onsite visits to Birmingham Office at least one day a fortnight
  • Will require occasional out of office work for meetings, maintenance or emergencies
