Vacancy Details

As an IT Systems Administrator/Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our network, infrastructure and cloud environment. This position is a blend of 3rd line support and project implementation work. It covers technologies such as Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft Entra ID and Azure, Docker, firewalls, routers and switches. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to keep our systems running efficiently, and you will be responsible for planning and delivering key IT projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 3rd line support for day-to-day IT operations, acting as the escalation point for complex issues and resolving them efficiently.
  • Maintain and manage Windows and Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), including identity and access management, Conditional Access, MFA and hybrid identity (Entra Connect).
  • Deploy, manage and secure Azure resources such as virtual machines, networking, storage and backup.
  • Build, deploy and maintain containerised applications using Docker, including images, networking and persistent storage.
  • Oversee and configure network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers and switches.
  • Implement and manage system upgrades, patches and new installations across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with the team to lead IT infrastructure projects, from design to deployment.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across a variety of platforms.
  • Monitor system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.
  • Maintain IT documentation and support knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar IT Systems Administrator or Engineer role, including 3rd line support.
  • Strong technical skills in managing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure administration, including hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Practical experience with Docker and containerised workloads.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco/FortiGate firewalls, routers and switches.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, VPNs and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (VMware).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Certifications

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300).
  • Other Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, etc.).
  • Cisco CCNA or other relevant networking certifications.
  • Docker Certified Associate (DCA).
