About The Role

We are seeking experienced IT Systems Engineers to join our engineering capability at Leidos, collaborating with our partner Hackajob. The successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting full lifecycle systems engineering activities, with a particular focus on low-level system design and integration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex IT and software systems, working closely with customers and suppliers to ensure seamless system integration and delivery. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of systems engineering principles, experience in software and hardware integration, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within dynamic project environments. A good working knowledge of IT hardware and software technologies is required, along with experience working within Agile and Waterfall delivery models. Candidates should possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency with system modeling tools like SysML, UML, Cameo, or Archimate is highly advantageous.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
