IT Systems Manager
Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire
£45,000 - £55,000 Per Annum + Excellent Benefits! (See Below)
We at JKR are recruiting an experienced IT professional, for one of our key clients, an established manufacturing company near Moreton-in-Marsh!
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong day-to-day IT experience who is looking to take the next step in their career, with the opportunity to gradually take ownership of the company's IT systems and further develop their ERP knowledge.
IT Systems Manager Main Purpose and Scope of Role:
The IT Systems Manager will be responsible for supporting and managing the company's day-to-day internal IT requirements, working closely with an external Managed Service Provider for additional infrastructure, security and Helpdesk support.
The successful candidate will work alongside the existing IT Manager during a planned handover period, with a view to taking ownership of the company's internal IT function.
The role will also involve supporting the company's Epicor Kinetic ERP system. Over time, there will be the opportunity to develop your ERP knowledge alongside the existing ERP Manager and eventually become the internal lead for the system.
IT Systems Manager Main Duties:
- Manage and support the company's day-to-day IT systems and requirements
- Work closely with and manage the external Managed Service Provider
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 across the business
- Support the company's IT infrastructure, including networks and virtual machines
- Manage software licensing, renewals and IT security requirements
- Provide internal IT support and guidance to employees
- Support and coordinate IT and security training across the business
- Support the company with IT-related GDPR compliance
- Manage IT budgets, suppliers and associated costs
- Support the company's Epicor Kinetic ERP system and its ongoing development
- Work alongside the existing ERP Manager to develop knowledge of the system and gradually take on greater responsibility

IT Systems Manager Person Specification:
- Previous experience within IT Support, Systems, Infrastructure or a similar role
- Strong general knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks and virtual machines
- Experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365
- Ability to confidently manage day-to-day IT requirements and troubleshoot technical issues
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of IT systems
- Experience working with external IT providers / Managed Service Providers would be advantageous
- Previous exposure to ERP systems would be beneficial, with Epicor experience particularly advantageous
- Manufacturing or engineering industry experience would be beneficial
- Knowledge of Sophos, BarTender, Microsoft Access or similar systems would be advantageous
