Job Description

Tru7 Group is looking for an IT & Systems Technician to join our growing Technology & Systems team, based at our HQ in Kesgrave, Ipswich.

This is a hands-on IT role supporting the technology that keeps our business moving. You'll be the first point of contact for many day-to-day IT requirements across the Group, working closely with our Group Technology & Systems Manager.

We're not looking for a senior IT professional. This could be an ideal opportunity for someone with 1–3 years' IT support or technical experience who wants to take the next step in their career and develop their skills within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

You'll be involved in a broad range of IT activities, including:

  • Microsoft 365 administration and user support
  • First-line IT support for staff across the Group
  • Setting up and maintaining laptops, PCs and other devices
  • Managing Samsung phones, tablets and mobile devices
  • Device deployment, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Supporting networks, Wi-Fi, connectivity and basic infrastructure
  • Managing IT assets, software and licences
  • Maintaining IT documentation, processes and SOPs
  • Supporting Excel, data and Power BI reporting
  • Assisting with endpoint management and basic security administration
  • Working with our external IT provider and technology suppliers

Requirements

We're looking for someone with a solid IT foundation, good troubleshooting skills and the right attitude to learn.

Ideally, you'll have around 1–3 years' experience in IT support, helpdesk or a technical IT environment, along with:

  • Good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Experience supporting PCs, laptops and mobile devices
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good organisation and attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users
  • A proactive approach to resolving problems
  • A genuine interest in technology and developing your skills

Experience with Microsoft Intune/MDM, Samsung Knox, Power BI, Entra ID, networking or cybersecurity would be a bonus, but isn't essential.
