IT Systems Technician
37 HOURS PER WEEK, 42 WEEKS PER YEAR
(TERM-TIME PLUS INSET DAYS AND 3 WEEKS TO BE WORKED IN THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS)
Salary Range
Grade 6 SCP 6-9 (Actual Salary £26,847 - £28,153 : FTE £24,972 - £26,187 pro rata)
The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.
The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and customer-focused IT Technician to join our friendly support staff team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has excellent technical skills, and is passionate about supporting teaching and learning through technology.
Key Responsibilities
Working under the direction of the IT Manager, you will:
- Provide first-line and second-line technical support to staff and students.
- Maintain and support the school's IT infrastructure, devices and software.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
- Support classroom technology, including interactive displays and audiovisual equipment.
- Assist with user account administration and cybersecurity procedures.
- Help manage laptops, desktops, mobile devices and printers.
- Contribute to IT projects and future technology developments across the school.

We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience of providing IT support in a professional environment.
- Has good knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 and network technologies.
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Can prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
- Can work collaboratively with colleagues to implement new technologies and more efficient ways of working.
- Is committed to supporting the educational success of young people.
