IT Team Lead

Leeds, West Yorkshire
Basic salary up to £46,000

We're hiring an IT Team Lead to join a well-known Leeds-based charity. This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT professional with team leadership experience looking to work in a values-driven healthcare setting and play a meaningful role in shaping the future of a growing digital function.

The IT Team Lead will take ownership of day-to-day IT service delivery, provide senior technical support, and lead a small team of technicians covering infrastructure, security, and workplace technology. You'll be hands-on across a broad technical remit - supporting legacy on-premises systems whilst driving forward cloud adoption, SharePoint, and a move to modern helpdesk capability.

Working alongside the Head of IT, external suppliers, and end users across several sites, the IT Team Lead will keep reliable, secure IT services running whilst contributing to a genuine programme of digital change. There's also scope to influence long-term strategy, push forward automation, and continuously improve how IT is delivered across the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
