IT Technical Support Specialist – (Job Ref: 26N/ITTS)

Our staff are at the heart of everything we do and achieve. We have a new opportunity for an IT Technical Support Specialist, within our IT Service Desk Team.
Location: Randox Science Park, 30 Randalstown Road, Antrim, BT41 4LF.
Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent.
Working Hours / Shifts: 8.40am to 5.20pm, Monday to Friday. However, some flexibility may be required.
What does this role involve?
This role is responsible for being the first point of contact for all Randox related IT support related queries, as well as administration of hardware, software and system operations. The main duties of the role include:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support for hardware, software, network, telephony, and business application issues.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and changes through the IT Service Management (ITSM) platform.
- Ensure tickets are prioritised appropriately and resolved within agreed service levels.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT engineers where required.
- Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including account provisioning and equipment deployment.
- Deploy, configure, and support desktop and laptop devices.
- Administer Microsoft Windows 11 and future supported operating systems.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Create and maintain user accounts, permissions, security groups, and role-based access controls.
- Support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and conditional access policies.
- Assist with backup, recovery, and business continuity procedures.
- Support hybrid infrastructure environments including Microsoft Azure and on-premises systems.
- Monitor server, storage, networking, and cloud service performance.
- Support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network security services.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives and compliance activities.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents.
- Participate in IT projects and technology rollouts.

Who can apply?
Essential criteria:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an IT support, service desk, or technical support role.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11 environments.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 services.
- Experience using ITSM/service desk platforms.
- Experience supporting networking technologies and VPN connectivity.
- Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between Randox sites where required.
Desirable:
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
- Microsoft 365 Certified qualifications.
- Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
- Experience with PowerShell automation.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
- Experience supporting SharePoint Online and Teams administration.
