Junior IT Support Technician

We are looking for a Junior IT Support Technician to provide first-line technical support to end users. The role involves assisting with common IT and PC-related issues, ensuring users can work effectively with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for end users via phone, email, or ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common IT issues, including:
    • PC and laptop problems
    • Password resets and account access issues
    • Software installation and basic configuration
    • Network connectivity (Wi-Fi, VPN)
  • Set up and prepare IT equipment (laptops, desktops, mobile devices)
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees (user accounts, hardware setup)
  • Log, track, and update support tickets in the IT service management system
  • Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff when required
  • Maintain basic documentation and user guides

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
  • Familiarity with common IT tools (e.g., email, printers, VPN, Teams)
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills with a service-minded attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant IT education or certification (or equivalent experience)
