Salary: £25,949 + wellbeing cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits
Location: Lift Clacton, Pathfields Road, Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, CO15 3JL (with regular travel to other schools in the area)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term for the duration of the apprenticeship
Start date: As soon as possible

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Lift Schools Technology Team as an IT Technician Apprentice, where you'll earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience alongside a nationally recognised Level 3 IT Solutions Technician apprenticeship.
You'll support colleagues and students across Lift Clacton, Lift Hamford Primary Academy and Lift Tendring, helping ensure technology works seamlessly to support teaching and learning every day.
No two days are the same. One day you could be setting up new devices, the next troubleshooting classroom technology, supporting audio-visual equipment or helping colleagues resolve technical issues.

Working Alongside Experienced IT Professionals, You'll Learn How To
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Support Windows, Apple and Chrome devices
- Install and configure new equipment and software
- Help maintain audio-visual equipment and classroom technology
- Support systems including telephony, visitor management and CCTV
- Keep accurate records using our IT service management system
- Travel between our local schools to provide on-site technical support
- Deliver excellent customer service to colleagues across our schools
What We’re Looking For
- Passionate about technology and eager to build a career in IT
- Curious, enthusiastic and willing to learn
- Organised with good attention to detail
- A confident communicator who enjoys helping others
- Able to work well as part of a team
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent, or willing to work towards Functional Skills if required
Previous IT experience isn't essential - we're looking for potential.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must have resided in the UK or EEA for at least 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship.
- Applicants must not have already completed a Level 3 IT Solutions Technician apprenticeship.
