About Us
As well as state-of-the-art teaching facilities, the school has invested heavily in the IT infrastructure and equipment. The school has been awarded an Apple Distinguished School which recognises innovation, leadership and educational excellence with Apple technologies. The IT systems are a Microsoft, Apple and ChromeOS hybrid. Most of the specialist IT rooms are Microsoft PCs and the school’s Admin Team operate in a Windows environment. Teaching staff and pupils use Apple equipment. The teachers also use this equipment to connect to the display screens in each classroom using AppleTV.
A very important part of the school’s IT Strategy is that every pupil is equipped with an iPad. This iPad is used to support the pupils’ learning. Pupils use their iPads in lessons and are able to take their iPads home.
This post involves working in a busy, vibrant and dynamic office which offers high quality and innovative IT support to support teaching and learning, working closely with pupils, teachers and non-teaching staff.

About The Role
Pay Details: Grade 4 SCP 6 - 7 £26,847 - £27,274
Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern: 8:00am to 4pm (Mon-Thurs) and 8:00am to 3:30pm (Fri), 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time).

Description:
To provide support for all IT systems that enable an effective teaching and learning environment so that all pupils achieve their potential.
- Provide technical assistance to teachers, support staff and pupils.
- Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location.
- Install, configure, and maintain the school’s IT equipment and IT systems, working with Microsoft, macOS, iOS and Google Workspace platforms.
- Assist in maintaining an inventory of the schools IT assets.
- Assist in the management of LAN/WAN performance and security.
- Assist in establishing and implementing policies and procedures for LAN/WAN usage throughout the school.
- Play a role in updating the school’s website.
- Provide technical support for the school Management Information Systems (MIS)
